“How about those windows?” says the real estate agent.
“They’ve been painted over,” says her client.
“Excellent for privacy,” says the agent. “And look how it diffuses the light.”
“Are these the original fixtures?” says her client.
“Solid, aren’t they? Hop up on that.”
“What did they use this place for before?”
“A little of this, a little of that. A performance space. A fashion atelier. One of those glitchcore bands holed up here to record their latest album.”
“Oh,” says her client. “Oh, oh. Oh God do that again!”
“And the floors and walls are very thick,” says the agent. “No one can hear a thing. What do you think?”
“I think,” says her client, “we need to do a little more negotiating.”
